Chinese national abducted following the killing of 8 NSCDC officers in Edo, has been released
A Chinese national, who was previously abducted during an assault that resulted in the deaths of eight members of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) in Edo, has been freed.
The individual, known as Mr. Wang, was taken on September 5 during an incident aimed at a group of NSCDC personnel designated to safeguard Chinese employees at the BUA Cement Plant in Okpella.
As stated by security expert Zagazola Makama, Mr. Wang was liberated around 11:30 p.m. on December 2 in Kabba, Kogi State.
Reports indicate that the national departed Nigeria immediately after his release and has since traveled back to China.
