A crowd in Rappolemba, Indonesia, took justice into their own hands by brutally beating a man to death, mutilating his genitals, and dragging his corpse through the streets as retribution after accusing him of assaulting a disabled woman.

As reported by Mail Online, Ali, 47, was pursued by enraged locals for allegedly assaulting and violating the woman in Gowa, Indonesia, on November 30.

The individual, referred to solely as T, was discovered injured and in a state of disbelief, igniting outrage within the community.

According to local reports, Ali sought refuge at a relative's residence before vanishing into a nearby woodland to dodge the villagers' fury. However, he was apprehended on December 3, when he emerged from the forest in search of sustenance.

Bystanders instantly recognized the accused and took it upon themselves to execute vigilante justice, resulting in a brutal assault filmed on camera.

The mob reportedly mutilated his genitals before displaying his lifeless body throughout the community.
Senior Associate Commissioner Muhammad Aldy Sulaeman, Chief of Gowa Police, stated that law enforcement rushed to Rappolemba Village to rein in the crowd.

He reported, 'We can confirm that numerous recordings have circulated regarding an alleged attack on an individual. We have coordinated with the Tompobulu Police on this issue.

According to the information we've gathered, the circumstances at the site are now stabilized.

'We don't aim to downplay the situation, and we are monitoring and enhancing security measures to maintain control. Initial reports suggest that the individual in question was suspected of assault; however, we will continue to delve into the matter to ascertain the precise sequence of events.

'The involved personnel include the Gowa Police's medical team for the autopsy, the Samapta Unit, the Criminal Investigation Unit, the Intelligence Unit, and the Community Policing Unit, accompanied by the local police chief. We have also synchronized our efforts with the South Sulawesi Regional Police Department.'

Community members alleged that Ali had been a long-standing nuisance, accusing him of being a recurring thief who had previously served time and was recently released.
